Playbook

Hooks, honestly.

Each hook is a creative label for a real mechanic. Only hooks marked Selectable can be chosen in the studio. Everything else is research, not a promise.

Spot · broad · scheduled reveal. Uniform liquidity across a wide range; opening set to a future time.

The Architect

Implemented preset

Look: precise white seams and grid stitching on black tailoring, crisp edge light

Curve · tight step · narrow. Tighter range needs more maintenance if price leaves it.

Look: reflective chrome jacket with lilac flashes, dynamic angled pose

BidAsk · wide step. Edge-heavy liquidity and big price steps.

The Connector

Partly research

Look: interlaced fine silver strands woven into the collar, warm rim light

Hook library

Steady — Spot

DLMM nativeSelectableLiquidity shape
Mechanic
Initial position deposits uniform liquidity across every bin in range.
Tradeoff
Even depth everywhere; less depth at the opening price than Curve.
Restrictions
Shapes only the creator's initial position. Other LPs can add any shape later.
Source

Focused — Curve

DLMM nativeSelectableLiquidity shape
Mechanic
Bell-shaped weights concentrated around the active bin.
Tradeoff
Deep near the start price, thin at range edges; needs more active management if price moves.
Restrictions
Initial position only.
Source

Wild — BidAsk

DLMM nativeSelectableLiquidity shape
Mechanic
Inverse curve: more liquidity at the range edges, less at the centre.
Tradeoff
Captures volatility at edges; thin near the opening price so early trades move price more.
Restrictions
Initial position only.
Source

Custom bin weights

DLMM nativeResearchLiquidity shape
Mechanic
addLiquidityByWeight lets you set arbitrary per-bin weights.
Tradeoff
Full control, more room for mistakes.
Restrictions
Research: not exposed in the wizard yet.
Source

Pace — bin step

DLMM nativeSelectablePricing
Mechanic
Each bin's price is (1 + binStep/10000) × the previous bin's. 10–100 bps choices.
Tradeoff
Smaller steps give finer pricing but more bins (and rent) for the same range.
Restrictions
Fixed at pool creation.
Source

Reach — bin range

DLMM nativeSelectablePricing
Mechanic
Narrow 21 / balanced 45 / wide 69 bins around the start price.
Tradeoff
Wider ranges cover more price movement but spread depth thinner.
Restrictions
Capped at 69 bins (one position, one transaction). Positions can be up to 1,400 bins via chunked resize, which PeoplePad does not run.
Source

Fee baseline

DLMM nativeSelectableFees
Mechanic
Base fee 25/50/100 bps converted to base factor (feeBps × 10000 / binStep).
Tradeoff
Higher fees earn more per trade but discourage volume.
Restrictions
Total fee also includes the on-chain variable fee, which depends on volatility parameters the pool inherits. The token page reads both from chain.
Source

Fee currency

DLMM nativeSelectableFees
Mechanic
InputOnly charges in whichever token is sold. OnlyY charges in token Y.
Tradeoff
OnlyY gives fees in SOL, but only when SOL is the on-chain Y.
Restrictions
Mints sort canonically; PeoplePad only offers OnlyY when SOL sorts as Y.
Source

Opening time

DLMM nativeSelectableLaunch
Mechanic
Timestamp activation type with an activation point; swaps are rejected before it.
Tradeoff
Scheduled reveals build anticipation; liquidity sits idle until then.
Restrictions
Must be at least 5 minutes ahead and within 90 days (PeoplePad limit).
Source

Two-sided seed

DLMM nativeSelectableLaunch
Mechanic
Deposit both token and SOL so buys and sells both have liquidity from the first block.
Tradeoff
Costs SOL up front; one-sided token-only seeding means sellers find no SOL until someone buys.
Restrictions
Default in PeoplePad.
Source

Liquidity commitment (position lock)

DLMM nativeSelectableLaunch
Mechanic
Positions created via initializePositionByOperator carry an on-chain lockReleasePoint.
Tradeoff
Shows commitment, but locks your own capital and doesn't make a token 'safe'.
Restrictions
Selectable in PeoplePad: your wallet is owner, operator and fee owner, and the position gets an on-chain lockReleasePoint (unix time). Adds one extra signed transaction. Until release you can claim fees but cannot remove liquidity. The lock cannot be shortened. Your wallet simulates each transaction before you sign; if Meteora's program rejects it, nothing is sent.
Source

Dynamic (variable) fee

DLMM nativeResearchFees
Mechanic
Volatility accumulator raises fees during fast moves.
Tradeoff
Protects LPs in volatility.
Restrictions
Parameters come from the program and preset; PeoplePad reads and shows them but has no switch for them.
Source

Liquidity mining rewards

DLMM nativeResearchIncentives
Mechanic
Up to two funded reward tokens per pool, claimable by LPs.
Tradeoff
Attracts LPs; costs reward tokens.
Restrictions
Pools use either limit orders or liquidity mining, not both. PeoplePad uses the LimitOrder mode.
Source

Transfer fee (Token-2022)

Token extensionResearchToken
Mechanic
A capped percentage on every transfer.
Tradeoff
Applies to all transfers, not just sells. It isn't a selective sell tax.
Restrictions
PeoplePad defaults to no transfer tax.
Source

Transfer hook

Needs Meteora reviewResearchToken
Mechanic
Custom program runs on each transfer (caps, cooldowns, gating).
Tradeoff
Powerful, but adds risk and complexity.
Restrictions
Needs a Meteora token badge. Permissionless only if the hook program and authority are revoked. Checks inside the app can't enforce rules on third-party swaps.
Source

Token-2022 with freeze authority

Needs Meteora reviewResearchToken
Mechanic
Issuer can freeze accounts.
Tradeoff
Control at the cost of holder trust.
Restrictions
Needs review. PeoplePad revokes freeze authority by default.

Open Circle — Alpha Vault Pro Rata

Additional programSelectablePre-launch
Mechanic
Deposits are allocated proportionally; unused quote is refunded.
Tradeoff
Allocation follows capital, not one person one vote. Permissionless Pro Rata has no effective individual cap.
Restrictions
Devnet only until verified. Needs a scheduled opening; the vault is created in the launch and anyone can run the fill from the presale page after deposits close.
Source

Early Bird — Alpha Vault FCFS

Additional programSelectablePre-launch
Mechanic
First-come deposits up to caps.
Tradeoff
No ordinary withdrawals before launch. Wallet caps aren't Sybil resistance.
Restrictions
Devnet only until verified. Needs a scheduled opening; created in the launch, filled from the presale page. LP lock is not token vesting.
Source

Inner Circle — Merkle allowlist

Additional programResearchPre-launch
Mechanic
Only allowlisted wallets can deposit.
Tradeoff
Curated access; more operational work.
Restrictions
Separate vault deployment.
Source

Giver / Co-creators / Community pot

Additional programResearchFee sharing
Mechanic
Route claimed LP fees to recipients.
Tradeoff
Needs a funded, verified distribution program or keeper.
Restrictions
Meteora Dynamic Fee Sharing supports 2–5 recipients and integrates with DAMM v2/DBC, not DLMM directly. Claiming DLMM fees manually and passing them on isn't an automatic royalty.
Source

Buyback / burn rituals

Additional programResearchFee sharing
Mechanic
Use fees to buy and burn the token.
Tradeoff
Needs a keeper and transparent accounting.
Restrictions
Not native to DLMM.
Source

Bonding curve + graduation

Additional programResearchOther engines
Mechanic
Meteora DBC is a separate launch engine whose new configs migrate to DAMM v2.
Tradeoff
Different product.
Restrictions
Deliberately not used: PeoplePad is a direct DLMM launch with no graduation bar.
Source

Chapters — cosmetic updates

Creative layerResearchCreative
Mechanic
New portrait chapters added to your token's page.
Tradeoff
Purely cosmetic; no financial effect.
Restrictions
Proposal.

More ideas

Key facts: DLMM positions are accounts, not burnable LP tokens. Fees don't auto-compound. Zero slippage only holds within a single bin. Liquidity mining and limit orders are mutually exclusive pool modes. Sources were checked on 5 October 2026.
